Sea Food Buffet... Fish Anyone?

The annual sea food buffet at the Fazio club house is one of our favorite events. It's always fun to add a little surprise in the flowers. Last year it was goldfish, this year we opted for the beta fish! They swam around in the larger showpieces. He was gorgeous and fit in perfectly with the vibrant blues and greens.
We always love using tropical greens and unusual flowers for fun textures and shapes. The green cymbidium orchids, dendrobium orchids, vibrant blue hybrid delphinium and green spiders was the perfect combination for big impact with a tropical feel.

Green Machine

... have you ever seen that drink? Well aparently it's supposed to give you a super boost of energy when your feeling drained. I think we get the same type of "boost" from all the gorgeous flowers we work with, because although May was crazy and we were all exhausted we just kept on goin {kind of like the energizer bunny}

The last week in May was filled with one event after the other. Each day was something new and different. One of our favorite events was the CMMA event at the Niklaus club house at Carlton Woods. It was all purples and greens with a contemporary flair. The showpiece was built with bamboo orchid trees and clustered artichockes, eggplant, roses, cymbidium orchids, tropical leaves and lily grass. The table centerpieces were a smaller version of the showpiece in a clear glass cube with artichokes, eggplant calla lilies, lavender roses and green and lavender scabiosa.

Mother's Day... part 2

Yes we are still talking about Mother's Day in June! But really, we should always be finding ways to honor our precious Mothers, right?
These were the arrangements at the Nicklaus club house at Carlton Woods Mother's Day weekend. They were made in rich peach and orange tones which coordinate perfectly with the club house.

Mother's Day... part 1

Mothers Day is the 2nd busiest holiday for florists and as you guessed we had a few fabulous parties on top of all the daily orders. It's so nice to see all the ways people honor their Mom's. Above are some the the arrangements we did for the Mother's Day Dinner at The Carlton Woods in soft lavenders and white. I also included a very fun picture from easter that I found of the ice sculpture (i thought it was too cool to leave out!). Each Mom received a white gerbera daisy with a beautiful butterfly to take home.

Easter at the Carlton Woods

Brunch, Lunch and Dinner! We did it all this year and had fun with the GORGEOUS cherry blossom that we got in. Blooming branches just scream spring!
One of the events had a white and yellow color scheme and so we thought it would be fun to use tulips, gerbera daisies and yellow button poms. To help elongate our tablescapes we used some of our silver votive cups with one fun tulip sticking right out of the top! It was an unexpected and fun addition to the table.
And of course we had to have a monster "wow" arrangement filled with flowers. It's arrangements like these that make you want to touch the flowers to see if they are real. Flowers are so amazing, and with the endless possibilities of combinations and colors you never get tired of creating something new.

Summer is Officially Here

One of my favorite flowers to see in the Summer time are Sunflowers! They are so big and beautiful and you just can't help but smile when you see them. So it seemed fitting that a party held at the beginning of this Summer had Sunflowers as the theme!
The cocktail table arrangements in the room had a fun surprise with green water pearls and a green underwater light. The water pearls are a fun alternative to just having plain water in a vase. The flowers still get the water they need while creating a crystal or almost tapioca like texture in the vase. They come in every color and are fun to experiment with!
