What better way to welcome guests into your home than to have an abundance of fresh flowers in every room! What was even better about this home is that they had stunning antique vases that already coordinated with each room.
We used a variety of peach, coral, green, pink and champagne tones to compliment the decor of their beautiful home. With full and luscious arrangements in just about every room the fragrance with truly captivating.
Our designers used a mixture of antique green hydrangea, esperance roses, peach finesse roses, sweetness roses, pink lisianthus, peach roses, champagne roses, soft pink gladiolas, green button poms and bells of Ireland, with a few greens mixed in throughout the arrangements.

Rubies and Lavender

This time of year is always most inviting, especially for brides in Houston. Neighborhood festivals are in full swing, kids are back in school, and weddings are on the rise. The cooler weather and beautiful scenery is a perfect setting for such a special occasion.

Soft lavender hues with accents of ruby and soft draping greens made for a regal color scheme and complimented the ruby table linens beautifully.

The wedding combined simplistic elements with traditional designs in beautiful cooling colors; ultimately setting the stage for a beautiful night.

Regal Colors

When I see red and purple together I can't help but think of a kings thrown room draped with deep red velvet draped and purple robes with gold accents. This brides decor reflected that same sophistication. The arch for her ceremony was covered in white lilies, red roses, dark purple carnations and a variety of greens, creating a lush garland type feel.
Her centerpieces, varying in height were a mixture of red roses, purple lisianthus, red hypericum berries and green hydrangea.
The ceremony was held in The Glass at The Woodlands Resort and Conference Center where we laid down as aisle runner sprinkled it with rose petals and used our beautiful shepherd hooks to hang lanterns and red pomander balls. It was a gorgeous aisle for the bride to walk!

Hot... hot... hot!

Not only is the weather in Houston excruciatingly hot right now but so is the color purple! It's been around on the popular color pallet for a while now and we're sure it's here to stay for a while!This blushing bride mixed different tones of purple with champagne roses and vibrant green spider mums and gladiolas. The vibrant contrast is so eye catching and really helps personalize the reception hall. Using a mix of tall and short arrangements is also a great way to get more impact from your flower arrangements. Your guests will be visually forced to stop and appreciate the difference, and we know it's all about those first impressions!

Back to School

It's that time of year again when all the kiddos go back to school! Yeah for more normal schedules, right? Make sure you thank all those people who helped you survive the summer with a beautiful bouquet of flowers! And better yet, send some to your kids teachers, school staff, or principle. I'm sure they would love the beautiful surprise. Can you think of a better way to kick off a new school year?

August Wine Dinner

With the end of August in sight the vibrant fall colors are in full swing. Every store is now sporting fall decor {and some even have Christmas... yikes!} but at the shop we can't get enough of the rich colors of fall.
The decor for this wine diner at The Club at Carlton Woods was truly beautiful. With rich colors as a base and pops of bright green and indigo purples the flowers jumped off the table and you couldn't help but admire how beautiful they were.
The 3 different shades of roses, mango calla lilies, indigo anemones, green hanging amarathus, miniature green hydrangea and real green grapes the textures were inviting and fun; setting the stage for a perfect dinner party!

Champagne in June

 With a timeless soft white, fresh green and champagne color scheme this wedding was truly stunning. The rehearsal dinner was Friday night at the bride's home. We used a cluster of bud vases each filled with either an anthirium, rose, or rannuncula and accents of grass on half the tables and on the head table, while the other tables held a low, full and luscious arrangement with a mix of hydrangea, roses, bells of ireland, lisianthus, and green hypericum.

 Isn't she a beautiful bride! I surely think so, but I am slightly biased, seeing as how we are related! Her bouquet was a fragrant mix of peonies, freesia, lisianthus, rannunculus, and roses wrapped in a white satin ribbon with pearl details. Her bridesmaids bouquets had a similar feel with a touch of green but adding bells of ireland, lisianthus and green hypericum berries.

 At her reception we used the clustered bud vases from the night before on the cocktail tables outside, decorated the cake with a mix of the blooms used throughout the wedding and had 2 spectacular arrangements with submerged roses on her sign in table and buffet table.

For her centerpieces we used a combination of the low arrangements from the night before and tall arrangements in glass cylinders filled with blooming white gladiolas. We also used rose petals and votive candles on all the tables to add that extra hint of romance. It was a beautiful 2 day celebration for an absolutely fabulous couple!

Vibrant Hues of Summer

The contrast you can achieve with hot colors is always eye catching and tends to leave a lasting impact!
This summer bride had her ceremony at the lovely chapel at Ashelynn Manor. The rich wood floors were the perfect backdrop for vibrant rose petals and full altar arrangements.
Her reception decor included pomanders hanging from shepherd hooks on either side of her cake table, a trio of vases with gerbera daisies, hydrangea, and orchids on the tables and candle light. Overall the vibrant colors were the perfect way to make a statement that was welcoming for all her guests!

St. Anthony of Padua and The Club at Carlton Woods

July was a month filled with all sort of gorgeous flowers. One of our favorites was a wedding at St. Anthony of Padua, with the reception at The Club at Carlton Woods.
All the florals for the ceremony were made in a traditional very full style in all gorgeous whites.

The sanctuary looked amazing with extra large altar arrangements and a garland of flowers and greenery to dress up the kneeling bench on the altar.
At The Club at Carlton Woods the flowers were kept simple by using a mix of whites, greens, and a pop of blue.
There were lots of accent pieces with tall vases, floating candles, rose petals and floating hydrangea in glass bowls; which really transformed the club house into a very personal venue.
On the patio we dressed up all the tables with potted white phaleanopsis orchid plants. It was a breathtaking display of blooms and you couldn't help but sit and admire the gorgeous flowers!
In the entry and in the main dining room we strung a garland of greenery from the chandeliers and decorated the mantle with flickering candles. The entire scene created quite the impact for all the guests as they walked into the reception.

TSFA Convention 2011... part 3

One of the best parts about convention is all the designers and shows that you get to see. It's the one time during the year where you can surround yourself with the most brilliant minds in the industry; getting one on one attention and being able to ask questions and learn new techniques.

They also hold a special lunch on Sunday to present all the awards from the previous year, announce the new board of directors and announce the winner of the Texas Cup Competition. This last year our very own Amy Neugebauer received a scholarship from the Texas Floral Endowment.
