Rock and Roll All Night

The theme for this years annual Member/ Guest Gala at The Club at Carlton Woods was taken from the amazing decor at The House of Blues in Houston.
With rust, gold and navy silk draped from floor to ceiling you couldn't help but feel like you were where the party was going to be! Our flowers popped off the fabric colors creating beautiful focal pieces that truly took center stage for this amazing night.
With submerged cymbidium orchids, beautiful two toned orange roses, vibrant rusty lilies and textural hydrangea the arrangements were astounding.
Each room had a slightly different theme, allowing us to show off some of our fabulous rental glassware and showcase different designs, while maintaining all the same color scheme throughout the club to tie everything together in a cohesive and exciting way!

Wild Western Weekend

The Club at Carlton Woods is always busy this time of year with parties, wine dinners, golf tournaments and amazing galas. A few weeks ago they had a spectacular western weekend as a kick off to their annual member guest gala. So here is a sneak peak at the weeks earlier events.
Western themes can vary from bandannas and burlap to wild sun flowers and wheat grass. It just depends of what type of style you are ultimately trying to achieve!
This beautiful tablescape at the Fazio clubhouse gave the dining room various levels of interest with height, line and balance and beautiful style; not to mention a bold pop of color with the giant sunflowers.

I Do...

... is a phrase that many happy couples are uttering this month! The Woodlands Resort and Conference Center has a beautiful deck overlooking the golf course and a lake with a fountain that has it's own gazebo tucked away among the tall pine trees. This spot is a true favorite for brides. With it's beautiful scenery you can easily see why.
This couple, with their white and purple color scheme chose to stretch tulle across the front of the gazebo to create a softer frame for the bridal party; while keeping the linens at their reception dark to allow the beautiful white arrangements to stand in brilliant contrast, catching their guests attention.

The second featured couple kept the gazebo simple with our timeless curtains that softly move with the wind. This is truly a romantic setting for such a sacred occasion, and with beautiful white and green floral tie backs it created the perfect photo backdrop.

Their reception was held in The Glass. With dark linens and a mix of tall and low centerpieces their guests couldn't help but stop to admire the room as they entered.

Our third featured couple for Forest Deck weddings this week chose a classic red, black and white color scheme. They used our beautiful curtains with red floral ties backs, curly willow branches across the top of the gazebo to create line and movement, a beautiful white aisle runner lined with red rose petals and simple white hydrangea with black and cranberry ribbon bows.
For the reception they again alternated tall and low centerpieces, which really gives added height and color to the ballrooms, creating a more intimate setting for you and your guests to enjoy, and party all night long!

Raveneaux Country Club

A beautiful weekend with perfect weather for a beautiful bride.

The ceremony was held at Grace Presbyterian Church in The Woodlands. And the all white color scheme was perfect for the dark interior of the chapel. There is something so fresh and beautiful about a classic and simple all white color scheme. For the pew decorations we used our wroght iron shepherd hooks with white pomanders spread out along the aisle; while the altar had our matching candelabras with coordinating flower swags.
Her bouquet was a fragrant mix of cabbage roses, fressia, standard roses, and ranunculus.
The reception was held at the Raveneaux Country Club in Spring. It was a beautiful venue with tall glass windows that let in natural light, and high ceilings. We used 2 different styles of arrangements for their centerpieces to create visual interest and depth throughout the ballroom. The tall arrangements were made with gladiolas, mixed greens and curly willow. While the short arrangements were made in a low cube with an underwater light and pillowed white hydrangea on top. It always amazes me how such a classic color pallet can make such a big impact.

Bold Colors with Great Contrast

The Woodlands Resort and Conference Center has a wide array of beautiful ballrooms. The ceremony pictured above is in The Glass, looking out over the water. With the bold color combination of the flowers the room was really transformed into the perfect setting for her ceremony, then flipped and used for the reception later that night.
The Emerald ballroom is also one of my favorites with it's tall glass windows that overlook the golf course, and it's larger capacity the natural light really high lights the beautiful centerpieces. This fun mix of gladiolas, orchids and carnations with the contrasting black feathers, black linens and white chair covers gave the room and very classic color pallet with a contemporary flare.

Retirement Party at John Cooper

The folks over at The John Cooper School know how to throw a party! Especially when they get the art department involved in the planning.
These beautiful centerpieces were a fun mix of textures and colors, emphasizing line and structure.
It's always fun to use non floral accents to create different textures. In these arrangements we used a mixture of veronica, miniature calla lilies, miniature garden roses, tulips, oncidium orchids, hydrangea, dendrobium orchids, artichokes, pears and apples with soft dusty miller and lily grass as greenery.

Baby Blues

We always love visiting new venues, or places we haven't been to in a while. This beautiful wedding and reception was held at Heather's Glen in Conroe Texas.
The contrast against the rich wood floors with the soft baby blue and ivory color scheme really dressed up the chapel and drew your attention to the altar area.

Entry Table Elegance

The Club at Carlton Woods is never lacking in it's decor. Especially with their new weekly addition of a beautiful arrangement on their entry table at the Nicklaus clubhouse.
Each week the design changes, along with colors and types of flowers. We try to keep it interesting by creating multiple pieces and going super contemporary or doing the opposite and staying traditional with high impact colors. Portrait Bouquets

The fall is always a wonderful time to take bridal portraits outdoors. Things are usually still vibrant and colorful, but the weather has cooled down just enough to make walking around outside in the sun (in a stunning dress) much more enjoyable! Here are a few from this past weekend.

We always recommend ordering a replica of what you will carry on your actual wedding day for your portraits. It gives you an opportunity to have a full trial run (hair, make up, dress, shoes... etc) and if there is anything you want to adjust, then you have time to let us know before the actual wedding. That way there are no surprises, and you have exactly what you want to carry on your wedding day!
