Lemons and Plums...

May is always a beautiful month, especially for a wedding! This ceremony on the Forest Deck at The Woodlands Resort and Conference Center  was a soft combination of lemony yellow and sky blue with white accents.
The reception was held in The Emerald Ballroom at The Woodlands Resort and Conference Center. With alternating styles of arrangements the combination of yellow tulips and blue hydrangea was the perfect mix of spring.
The lovely lavender wedding was at The Club at Carlton Woods. With a stunning bouquet of two toned white and purple miniature calla lilies with a collar of white cymbidium orchids the bride had a bouquet that was worthy of her and her stunning gown. The altar arrangements were traditional mixes of purple hydrangea and white oriental lilies with curled ti leaves. The bridesmaids bouquets were a soft nosegay of lavender roses wrapped in an ivory satin ribbon.

We used a mix of styles for the table centerpieces, some were with tall glass cylinders encasing purple gladiolas, while others were soft ivory hydrangea with lavender roses and tulips and sweeping miniature two toned calla lilies..

Party Central...

If there's one thing about the Team at The Blooming Idea that we all have in common, it's that we all love to PARTY! And let's be honest, it isn't a party without decor, and no decor speaks more, gets more wows, and sets the mood than flowers! These beauties are done in oranges, yellows and whites with a fun sliced lemon accent in the oversized martini glass vase. The white hydrangea, dendrobium orchids, button poms and miniature garden roses create a fun play on textures. While the low arrangement in a glass bowlie with white hydrangea, voodoo orange roses, yellow buttons and bear grass and ti leaf accents coordinates perfectly!
These two large pieces in tall glass cylinders filled with green cymbidium orchids show off the arrangement of bells of Ireland, orange lilies, white hydrangea, miniature and full size roses, alstomeria and mixed greenery. The citrus color pallet is perfect for early summer and will liven up any party!

Throwing a party soon? Well, it's not complete without flowers! Give us a call and we'll set you up with the perfect arrangements for you perfect party!

Summer Hues...

Just in time for summer, this fabulous wedding was perfectly colorful for the season!
With a mix of lime green, orange, hot pinks and purples it was the perfect blend of colors for a fun loving early summer wedding!
The ceremony was at The Woodlands Resort and Conference Center, outdoors on the Forest Deck, while the reception was in The Glass ballroom (one of my favorites!) For the centerpieces we combined two different styles together to create impact and variety. The mix of bells of Ireland, stock, spider mums, gerbera daisies and hydrangea was a fun playful mix with lots of textures and bold color.
This beautiful bride was truly stunning on her big day. We loved working with her and wish he all the best! It was another perfect day in The Woodlands for a beautiful wedding!

Easter Weekend... Part 3

Sunday morning The Club(s) at Carlton Woods, both Fazio and Nicklas hosted a fabulous Easter Brunch.  Fazio's color scheme of pink yellow and blues was a fun fresh combination, reminiscent of the fresh spring air that we've been enjoying for quite some time.
With fluffy blue hydrangea, giant yellow roses, yellow forsythia blooming branches, yellow tulips, pink miniature garden roses and variegated pink and white lilies this centerpiece was a masterpiece and absolutely stunning to look at!

Nicklas had a softer color scheme with peaches, buttercream yellows and whites. With white hydrangeas as a base for these table arrangements the peach roses and buttercream stock added just the right amount of contrast and texture.
The buffet arrangements at Nicklas were created but clustering groups of like flowers together! You get a fun new shape and design when you cluster, and if your using a variety of smaller sized blooms this technique also helps give more visual impact as opposed to mixing it all up.

And of course it wouldn't be easter without a big beautiful piece in the Nicklas Bears Den. Using the same clustering technique on a much larger scale this piece welcomed visitor with wonderful pops of bright color as they entered the brunch!

It was a wonderful weekend!

Easter Weekend... Part 2

Saturday morning at The Club at Carlton Woods - Nicklas they host their annual Breakfast with the Easter bunny event! It's such a fun event for the kids. The colors are always bright and the flowers always beautiful and very "Spring-y"

Our centerpieces this year were terra cotta pots with groupings of flowers including: lavender stock, yellow tulips, blue hydrangea and peach gerber a daisies!

The buffet centerpieces included fun mixed of the orange/ peach colors, blue and yellows. And we also decorated the front table at Nicklas for the weekend with coordinating colors for both events. We used beautiful lilies, stock, eucalyptus, manzinita, forsythia and solidago!

Stay tuned for part 3!

Easter Weekend... part 1

Each year we have a wonderfully busy Easter weekend with lots of events and fun parties. But we always like to showcase our annual events at The Club at Carlton Woods starting with Friday nights seafood buffet. Above is a fabulous piece with purple mocara orchids, green anthirium, purple tulips, curly willow, and green spider buttons in a giant sea shell.
We coordinated the fun purples and green with a few blue and teal accents for the table centerpieces.
We also did some fun smaller pieces for the buffets and longer tables in little sea shells!
And of course we always do a few stunning showpieces! This beautiful piece with white manzinita branches, green anthirium, draping leaves, purple mocaras and splashes of blocking forsythia was the star of the night!

Stay tuned for part 2 of our fabulous Easter Weekend at The Club(s) at Carlton Woods...
