This bridal bouquet was created in a traditional nosegay style with white roses and accents of white wax flower. The bridesmaids bouquets were a mixture of lavender, purples, whites, and hints of blue. Made with stock, roses, wax flowers, delphinium and lisianthus.
The boutonnieres for the gentlemen were made with myrtle and blue dendrobium orchids tied in black satin ribbon, while the mothers and grandmothers wore wrist corsages with miniature garden roses in white.
The reception was held in The Glass Ballroom at The Woodlands Resort and Conference Center. With blue dendrobium orchids hanging from the ceiling and contemporary centerpieces with floating orchid blooms submerged in cylinders the room was amazing.
The ceremony was held on the Forest Deck. The gazebo decorated with 5 floral centerpieces spread out along the gazebo face atop a layer of white stretched tulle.

April Weddings in Review
April is always a beautiful time of the year in The Woodlands Texas. It is also a wonderful time to hold outdoor functions, and as you know, we love to party!
This beautiful lavender and white wedding was held on the Forest Deck at The Woodlands Resort and Conference Center. The Reception was held in The Glass Ballroom at the Resort as well.
The combination of white hydrangea, babies breath, lavender spider mums and pixie carnations created a beautifully soft arrangement, adding to the romance of the day.

Easter 2013... part 3
The next two events are the easter dinners at The Club at Carlton Woods. Each club house has a different theme and color palette. This year at Fazio we went with a more contemporary design with groupings, clusters and arching loops .
With a simple with and green color scheme and pops of traditional easter colors these beautiful arrangements truly stood out.
I love the clustering effect in large arrangements. Caging is also really fun too, you can see that here with the yellow roses and blue hydrangea under a web of turquoise accents.
It is amazing what a few talented designers can dream up and what our amazing team at The Blooming Idea can put together in just a few days.

Easter 2013... part 2
The second event we'd like to showcase from our fabulous Easter Weekend was held Saturday morning at The Club at Carlton Woods for the kiddos, it's called breakfast with the Easter Bunny. This is a fun event where everything is whimsical, youthful and very colorful!
The centerpiece for the buffet lay underneath a canopy of curly willow and ribbons with a beautiful wreath of flowers with blooming forsythia branches, roses, lilies, snapdragons and even a few easter eggs tucked into a beautiful bed of greens and moss at the base.
We can't leave the bunny out either, so he had a few bright arrangements with lilies and forsythia of his own.
The centerpieces for the children's tables were bright and colorful with paved carnations and peep bunnies!
It was a beautiful morning for an egg hunt! stay tuned for part 3...

Easter 2013... part 1
Easter week is always a busy time at the shop, and this year was no different. We'll start the weekend off showcasing an event held the Friday before Easter at The Club at Carlton Woods; their annual Seafood Buffet.
The fabulous flowers always reflect some underwater or oceanic theme. This year, in purples and greens, we used tropical flowers for their unique foilage and fun accents like seas shells.
Succulents, hanging amaranthus, cymbidium orchids and manzanita branches all added to the under the sea effect of the beautiful flowers.

Birthday Celebration
Growing up in my house there were always a few days that all the kids looked forward to. Christmas with it's magic and lights (and where I'm from snow). Easter with the hunt, and more than any other day; birthdays. Your birthday was the best day of the year, partly because you didn't have to share it with anyone and also because my Mom did everything to make your birthday uniquely special. Sometimes that included parties, sometimes just a nice restaurant of our choice, but it was always our special day. Recently we did some fabulous florals for a sweet 16th birthday at The Club at Carlton Woods. With pink gerber daisies, purple monte casino and lavender alstromeria.
The buffet centerpiece was a little more whimsical with lilies, twinkling branches, and floating flowers. Ahhh, we just love birthdays!

Purple and White... A Bride's Delight part 2
Part 2 of this post takes us to the reception at The Woodlands Resort and Conference Center in The Emerald Ballroom. These beautiful arrangements were AMAZING! Filled with white hydrangea, white spider mums, white oriental lilies (which made the room smell heavenly), white larkspur and bombay purple and white dendrobium orchids they made you say "wow" as you walked in the ballroom!
The cocktail hour table also had a coordinating arrangement with white roses, lilies, and hydrangea. While the tiered cake was layered with beautiful white flowers including: hydrangea, orchids, roses, and lilies. The table arrangement alternated in two different styles. One was a more full arrangement with softer lines, while the picture in the middle showcased a more vertical style which draws the eyes up and truly gives the room a lofty appearance. They were absolutely BEAUTIFUL!

Purple and White... A Bride's Delight... part 1
Cascade bouquets are back in style, and there is nothing more beautiful than soft purple dendrobium orchids atop a white bouquet. The simplistic colors truly make this bouquet one to remember. The bridesmaids carried handtied white bouquets with roses and hydrangea.
The ceremony was held at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in The Woodlands. With Candle wreath pew markers, stunning white altar arrangments and oriental lilies the sanctuary was absolutely beautiful.

Yellow and Green, Oh My it's Spring!
This fabulous wedding was held at The Woodlands Resort and Conference Center on the Forest Deck. The vibrant yellow and green spring flowers stood out beautifully against the rich dark wood of the Forest Deck.
With beautiful pew decor of clusters of yellow gerbera daisies and green spiders the aisle was highlighted for the wedding procession.
At the reception the rich blue tablecloths were a perfect background for the green, yellow, and white arrangements which were filled with spider mums, gerbera daisies, sunflowers and daisy poms.
