Walkin in a Winter Wonderland

What a wonderful holiday season it has been, and it's not even close to being over! With New Years a few days away and Valentines around the corner, things don't slow down here for quite a little while. Which also means we have an amazing number of gorgeous pictures to show you!
From stunning centerpieces for intimate holiday dinners to fun cocktail table greens as the year comes to a close I believe we can truly say we've done it all. Or at least that if you can dream it, we can do it!
This month was filled with parties at The Club at Carlton Woods, home parties, weddings, and corporate events. It's easy to say the red, green and white arrangements were in abundance this month.
This time of year we are also lucky to have beautiful mixed Christmas greens and beautiful seasonal flowers like amaryllis. We want to thank all our loyal customers, welcome all the new and celebrate with you the rest of what has been a fabulous year!

Carlton Woods Advisory Board dinner

Each year the Club at Carlton Woods holds a fabulous dinner for the advisory board at The Fazio. This year we created a beautiful table scape with elevated arrangements. A mixture of Christmas greenery filled the room with a beautiful fresh aroma while a mix of auburn, red and copper blooms added interest and texture to each centerpiece.
We also added soft twinkling lights and glittered birch branched as a bridge between each piece. On the table top each vase was surrounded by a wreath of greens and roses accents by ornaments. With candle light in pedestal glasses and roses on each napkin the table was set to perfection.
We want to take a second to wish you all a very Merry Christmas! We are so grateful for all our loyal customers. We love celebrating the holidays with you.

From all of us at The Blooming Idea, Merry Christmas!

Carlton Woods Holiday Party

Every year the Carlton Woods holds a fabulous holiday party. They pull out all the stops and decorate to the 9's!
Each part of the club has a different color scheme. The main dining rooms use rich red, gold, and amber colors to accent the beautiful decor. By using natural lotus pods and decorative metal containers the arrangements add a beautiful rustic feel to the decor.
The ladies locker room is always a beautiful centerpiece. This year the colors were turquoise, plum and lime green. The fun combination was truly eye catching and lent it self to over the top contemporary style!
With our larger than life glassware, and draping dyed dendrobium orchids, lime green spider mums, lavender roses and accents of aluminium wire and peacock feathers you couldn't help but be blown away. The designs were fabulously larger than life!
And what is a party with out a grand entrance show stopper? The chandelier in the main entrance was dripping with ribbons and champagne glasses with a  beautiful garland around the top. Then in the Bears Den to accents the buffet table there was a fabulous ice sculpture with gorgeous arrangements of a mix of rich red roses and beautiful red gladiolas with evergreen accents..

Kathleen O'Ryan Fine Art Photography

We love working with other event vendors and seeing their craft. Especially photographers. No matter how many pictures we take, we can never seem to capture the true beauty of the arrangements we create, but low and behold, the professionals always do.
These are some shots from Kathleen O'Ryan Fine Art Photography of a bah mitzvah celebration that she sent over to share with us.
It's amazing how well all the colors show up in these gorgeous pictures! Thank you Kathleen for sending these over for us to enjoy!

A Touch of Winter

Ashelynn Manor is one of our favorite Magnolia reception sites. With the beautiful outdoor gazebo and the large reception hall you can accommodate all your guests in a beautiful and natural outdoor setting.
This beautiful bride played up the season with maintaining a soft color pallet. With the use of white pumpkins she played up the season but kept her colors soft and very bridal.
The centerpieces had gorgeous texture with a variety of blooms and mixed greens. The combination of aromatic titanic roses, blue thistle, white freesia and red hypericum berries created a gorgeous centerpiece with lots of visual interest and fun textures.

Our 9th Annual Holiday Open House

Each year we celebrate our anniversary with a fabulous holiday party. We also host a food drive and encourage all guests who join us to bring a little something to donate to the food bank. But most of all it's a fabulous opportunity to completely deck out the shop with all our fabulous holiday decor.

From lush garlands to unique centerpieces, we've got all you need to dress up your home.
We even created a few fall pieces for centerpiece inspiration!
Make sure to order your holiday centerpieces for your family get together early this year!
As we get older it seems that the giving part of the holidays is sometimes more fulfilling than being the recipient. What better way to say your thinking about someone than with a beautiful bouquet of holiday flowers!
We had a fabulous time and want to thank all those who came to celebrate with us.
We are looking forward to another fabulous year.
Happy Holidays from all of us at The Blooming Idea!

Red is all the Rage

The fall colors are on parade this month and red is often at center stage! These beautiful wedding showcase different styles and designs that just simply scream fall!
Bouquets with texture and visual interest are always more fun to photograph and create depth and impact in bridal portraits.
One of our favorite detail pieces for receptions is having something on the doors. These wreaths were beautiful with gorgeous color and amazing texture and movement. The nice thing is that once all your guests are inside, they can be moved to the inside of the doors just by switching the hook around!
Ashelynn Manor's chapel is such a beautiful, yet simple setting for a wedding ceremony. With dark floor and soft beige walls it truly is a great backdrop for any color scheme, especially the rich tones of fall.
It's our favorite time of year and we absolutely love to see all the gorgeous pictures with such vibrant colors. Our theory about color? Don't be afraid to do what you want. It's your wedding and if bold is what you want, then go big and bold and we promise you wont regret it!
