Summers are filled with weddings and usually at the end of the summer we look back and realize just how many beautiful weddings we've done, and then realize that not even a fraction of them actually make it onto our blog, so this post and a few after will be highlighting some of our favorite pictures from the Summer weddings of 2012. Above are 2 different styles of arrangements in green blue and white with hydrangea, spider mums and delphinium.
A beautiful bouquet of miniature calla lilies, green hypericum and monkey tails, and a boutonniere to match.
The Forest Deck at the Woodlands Resort and Conference Center is a beautiful place to get married. The curtains with floral tie backs of roses and hydrangea fit perfectly with a white aisle runner and rose petals.
Every detail is important at weddings so make sure to have buffet and h'ourderves table arrangements that coordinate with your other centerpieces.
Cake toppers are always popular but it's fun to have a little something fresh with a few blooms (plus they hide any smudging from the topper). While tall arrangements of simple white flowers and mixed greens can be very refreshing.
Lanterns are a trend that is not going anywhere, and what is more romantic than a dinner by candle light?
Bright colors are indicative of Summer and this beautiful wedding at The Woodlands Resort and Conference Center was filled with purples, reds and greens.
Stay tuned for part 2!

Favorite Showpieces
Sometimes it's fun to look back and pick out some of our favorite showpieces! This beautiful tree of flowers was stunning in person, there was nothing like it. With rich autumn colors and tropical greenery the line and balance of it all was amazing.
This bright spring piece was on the entry table in one of our clients homes. It was given as a birthday present. We loved the peaches and pinks, the mix of textures and of course the stunning vase.
This beautiful centerpiece for Mothers Day was a showstopper, with Calla lilies swirling on the outside of the ease and a giant arrangements of lilies, roses, hydrangea and cherry blossom branches, it was truly amazing.
Going green is all the rage and this piece exemplified that theme. with fun tropical green anthirium, hanging amaranths, white oriental lilies, bells of Ireland and giant tropical leaves, this arrangement sparkled (literally with little led light strands woven trough the arrangement).
Another one of our favorites, I like to call it the canopy. It was amazing in person, as it stood on a 4 foot table with over 30 giant crystals hanging from the canopy of flowers and curly willow. Each crystal caught the sunlight and shined as the breeze moved through the patio.
It's fun to look back and see some of the fun pieces we've done over the years, and more importantly to let you see them too. For as we like to say, if you can dream it (or if you have an idea) we can make it.

TSFA Convention... Bouquets {part 3}
The TSFA convention is not only a fabulous place for florists to meet new suppliers, find new varieties of blooms and compete in the Texas Cup it's also a wonderful place to come and learn.
The weekend is full of design classes, and we always love to hit the wedding and event shows.
Some designs we see are teaching new techniques, some are completely off the wall creative and some are just simply gorgeous.
We believe that education is very important and we do all we can to make sure that our designers and event consultants are always in the know.

And we are proud to say that Kim and Becky places 2nd and 3rd! We are so very proud of them!
They are amazing designers and work so well under pressure. Their creative juices just flow!
We are so lucky to have them at our shop. So three cheers for our fabulous designers!

Black and White Polka Dots
Polka dots are so fun, youthful and always lively when paired with white and yellow! This bridal bouquet of yellow and white roses, white daisies, white freesia and crystal accents was wrapped with a fun crystal ribbon. The traditional style of the bouquet let the fun and fragrant flowers shine.
The bridesmaids carried similar bouquets with tufts of black and white polkadot ribbon loops with yellow roses and white daisies.
The ceremony was held at St. Anthony of Pauda Church in The Woodlands. The traditional altar arrangements with yellow gladiolas, white hydrangea, yellow roses and white daisies framed the bride and groom during their ceremony.
The reception was held in the Emerald Ballroom at The Woodlands Resort and Conference Center. With alternating high arrangements of forsythia branches and daisies, and low arrangements using lanterns with florals wreaths the tables were a fun mix of classic and whimsical.
The table numbers were incorporated into the arrangements by hanging them from ribbon and attaching them to the lanterns making them easy to see and a fun part of the arrangement.
The cake was decorated with yellow miniature garden roses and daisies in a sloping cascade down the side of the cake tiers.

July Weddings {part 3}
Filled with bright colors and warm summer days, July is never a disappointment when it comes to beautiful weddings. This stunning display of pink hydrangea hot pink roses, greenery and tulle across the arch created a soft background for the blushing bride and handsome groom. Their reception was held in the Emerald Ballroom at The Woodlands Resort and Conference Center. The tall centerpieces with orange lilies, hot pink miniature garden roses, and alstromeria were perfect accents of color throughout the room.
Peachy keen! These beautiful salmon colored miniature garden roses white spider mums and orange lilies mixed together in low glass bowls coordinated perfectly with tall arrangements of gladiolas, hydrangea, and lilies.
Long and low arrangements are perfect for long head tables where you don't want to block conversation or have a large tall arrangement in the middle of the bride and groom.
Pink weddings are always popular. This reception held in the Emerald Ballroom of The Woodlands Resort and Conference Center. The contrast of light and hot pinks is a soft and fun pallet illuminating the ballroom with a feminine and romantic flare.
