Pretty in Pink

Pinks and ivory were the chosen flowers for this wedding. The Ceremony took place at The Woodlands United Methodist Church in the main sanctuary. The brides bouquet was hydrangea with ivory roses accented with rhinestones. The bridesmaids carried a bouquet of white hydrangea and pink roses. On the altar we had two ornate columns topped with a pave of white blooms. On the pews we had beautiful white hydrangea puffs.
The reception followed at the Woodlands Waterway Marriott where the walls had been draped with pink up-lights for a very ambient evening. The table centerpieces were hydrangea, roses and alstromeria with cylinders accented with pewter grey ribbon and the couples initials. The card table had a beautiful arrangement of white orchid sprays

It's All in the Details!

This was a fun wedding to be a part of. The bride and her mom took a lot of time adding unique touches to the wedding setting like the sign leading to the ceremony "Today two families become one - we ask that you please pick a seat not a side" All the boutonnieres were made inside a shotgun shell, which was to be a surprise for the groom, a serious hunter. The bride's in Tiffany blue carried a bouquet of colorful roses while the bride carried a bouquet of all white Tibet roses with rhinestones in the center. Ceremony flowers were of blue hydrangea, white roses, lilies accented with babies breath with a lush line of rose petals to lead the way down the aisle.

Inside, the reception area was filled with lots of little details from the collage of pictures with the sign "The hunt is over 06.21.14" to the entry table sign with "We love instagram please tag your photos". Undoubtedly a day to remember, making all the extra effort worth while.

Succulent Trend

We've been seeing a growing trend in the use of succulents in wedding flowers in the last year or so. Succulents are a wonderful addition to a bouquet, giving great color and texture. Succulents come in a variety of colors, shapes and sizes.

We'd like to thank our friend Elissa at www.elissarphotography.com for the above photos. This bride wanted a variety of different succulents used in her wedding and as you can see they were in both the bride and bridesmaid's bouquets and also featured in the table centerpieces. The table centerpieces were created terrarium style in a variety of vases provided by the bride. The whole effect is very lush and textural.

Blue Orchids

The blue dendrobiums have been fairly popular in recent years and add the blue/teal exotic color to weddings that a lot of bride's are looking for. They are not natural, but dyed at the farm and will not stain your gown - a fear of many brides! This bouquet has hydrangea, roses, calla lilies and blue dendrobiums.

Blue dendrobiums were interspersed in hydrangea for aisle flowers, they added an accent to the wedding cake and were swirled inside a bubble bowl for the table centerpiece.
For this wedding the blue dendrobiums were floated in cylinders and we also hung them from the ceiling which added a lot of movement over the dance floor.

Table Scapes

Table scapes have become very popular for head tables or King's table. The table scape involves multiple elements and heights along the length of the table. This table scape has multiple height candle sticks, some with candles and some with florals. On the table we had a variety of greenery including ivy, ruskus and sprengerii with votives and succulents, creating a lot of interest and textures.
This table scape for a round table has soft shades of white, yellow and green blooms in milk glass vases at different heights.
We created this table scape in a variety of mercury glass vases and votives in soft shades of white, yellow and grey and a selection of spring flowers.
This head table scape has long & low arrangements interspersed with votives and multi level candle holders with floating candles.

Vintage Romantic

Love the soft cream and blush shades used in these vintage romantic style weddings. For this bride's bouquet we used blush garden roses, creamy ranunculas, anemonies, dusty miller and silver brunia. The wedding took place at Olde Dobbin Station. We decorated the aisle with babies breath pommanders and the table centerpieces had blush garden roses, anemonies, hydrangea, babies breath and dusty miller.

We have a table scape here for the huge King's table for an intimate wedding reception at The Club at Carlton Woods. Soft pinks and ivories were chosen to fill the various candle holders and vases provided by the bride.

Radiant Orchid, Pantone Color of the Year

Purple is as popular as ever especially with Radiant Orchid being the Pantone color of the year. The use of uplighting in this reception held at the Woodlands Waterway Marriott really adds a lot of mood to the setting. Flowers used here were lavender roses, purple lisianthus and white hydrangea.
This wedding reception was held at The Woodlands Country Club. The bridal bouquet has white hydrangea & mini callas and lavender roses. We had a mix of low and tall centerpieces with hydrangea, roses, snapdragons and stock.
For our Marriott booth display at the Woodlands Dream Wedding bridal show we went with the Radiant Orchid theme with a low and tall centerpiece of green hydrangea & amaranthus, purple stock & lisianthus and lavender roses.

Sunny Yellow Weddings

This beautiful wedding took place at Ashton Gardens. Bright yellow roses, white hydrangea and hydrangea, green hypericum berries were chosen for the bridal bouquets.
The reception kept the same theme with yellow roses stacked in cylinders on half the tables and the other half had tall cylinders filled with spring forsythia branches in full bloom.
This wedding was set at Oak Tree Manor, so named for the beautiful, huge oak tree where the ceremony took place. The weather cooperated and the tables were set outside. Soft yellow roses, butter stock and hydrangea filled the assorted milk glass vases that the bride had collected for the occasion.
This table scape was set for the Dream Weddings Bridal Show in the Woodlands. We used a mix of butter colored spring flowers including tulips, hyacinth, freesia and stock, accented with succulents, dusty miller and silver brunia.

Winter Weddings Part 3

This was a real winter wonderland setting for the ceremony at Lord of Life Lutheran Church. We placed branches with ice and berries down the aisle. The bride was from Hawaii and wanted tropical flowers for her bouquets. The bride's bouquet was created on a wire armature with phaleonopsis orchids added and accented with bear grass and blue rhinestones. The bridesmaid's bouquet had anthuriums and cymbidium orchid blooms collared with ti leaves and bear grass accents.
The Reception was held at The Woodlands Resort and Conference Center in the Vista dining room. Table centerpieces were all tall Abigail vases with hanging crystals and topped with fluffy babies breath. The card table had a large arrangement with babies breath, berries, ice and curly willow with hanging orchids. The 4 tiered cake had layers filled with red roses, orchids, berries and babies breath.

Winter Weddings Part 2

This wedding took place in a private room at Amerigos. The ceremony site was created with our arch draped in fabric with flowers added to the top and as tie-backs. Aisle runner was installed and hydrangeas added to the chairs. A quick turn around and the room was transformed to the reception with a table scape of greenery, hydrangeas and lots of candle light. The bride carried a handtied bouquet of white hydrangea, roses and freesia.

Winter Weddings Part 1

Our first weddings of the year depict the essence of a winter wedding with white flowers and lots of candles.
This first wedding ceremony took place at The Woodlands Chapel in the Woods. The moss initial greeted guests at the entry into the chapel and our tall lanterns lined the aisle. The reception took place at The Woodlands Resort and Conference Center. The guest tables had two styles of arrangements, the 1st a grouping of mercury glass candles, the 2nd a tall silver pedestal filled with white hydrangea.
This next bride chose three styles for her centerpieces at her Woodlands Waterway Marriott reception. 1st style for the long tables had two centerpieces in cylinders filled with hydrangea and roses. The 2nd style was a set of three Monet vases filled with hydrangea and roses. For the 3rd style a tall cylinder had curly willow with hanging votives coming out of a base of hydrangea.
